Open Wednesday to Sunday · Dinner from 5:30
One kitchen, one board, thirty-four seats.
A small dining room where the menu is written each morning around whatever came in that day, and the counter seats are kept back for people who did not plan ahead.
Walk-ins take the six counter stools from 5:30. Everything else is booked.

Menu, daily
Rewritten every morning. No fixed carte, no specials board bolted on.
The room
A former bakehouse with the ovens still in the wall.
The Local Table opened in 2016 in a yard that had been a bakehouse for eighty years before that. We kept the brick, the long window, and the two ovens that no longer work but hold the wine well enough.
There is one kitchen and one menu. Whatever the growers and the fish counter have that morning is what gets written on the board, which is why we cannot tell you in advance exactly what you will be eating — only that somebody chose it that day and not three months ago.
If it is not good enough to send to the table next to yours, it does not go out.

Reservations
Nobody should have to ring twice.
Reservations, the waitlist when we are full, and what is actually on the board tonight. The assistant answers those as they come in, so the pass is not also answering the phone.
The host sits on every page of this site and takes the booking end to end — the party size, the time, the waitlist if the slot has gone, and the allergy note that needs to reach the kitchen before you arrive.

Parties of seven or more, and the whole room for an evening, go through the same place — tell the host what you have in mind and somebody will come back to you.

- Waitlist management during peak hours
- Menu and dietary-restriction Q&A
- Private-event inquiry capture
Find us
Round the back, past the bins.
Through the yard gate, second door on the left. There is no sign on the lane — the light over the door is the only thing to look for, and it goes on at five. Two steps up at the entrance; tell us when you book and we will put the ramp out and hold a table on the flat.
