Restaurant — demo business

The Local Table

A neighbourhood dining room where the menu is written each morning around whatever came in that day, and the counter seats are kept back for people who did not plan ahead.

Capabilities

What this build is designed to prove out.

The parts of a Restaurant business this build takes off a human's desk.

  • 01Reservation booking with party-size and time-slot handling
  • 02Waitlist management during peak hours
  • 03Menu and dietary-restriction Q&A
  • 04Private-event inquiry capture

How the agent behind it is built to behave

The flow, in one linePreview — not connected

Visitor requests a reservation, the agent checks availability, offers waitlist alternatives if the slot is full, and confirms the booking.

  1. Answers from the real offer

Grounded in the business's own approved offer sheet — not whatever the underlying model happens to believe about the industry.

  2. Qualifies while it answers

The same conversation that answers the question captures who's asking and what they actually need.

  3. Books the call

Booking is the ceiling of what it's allowed to do on its own. It can't send email, touch billing, or improvise a price.

  4. Hands over anything outside scope

A question the offer sheet doesn't cover gets flagged for a person instead of guessed at. Every conversation is logged in full, so the owner can check its work.

In practice — an illustrative scenario

  1. The situation

The Local Table's (fictional) reservation line was overwhelmed on weekend nights, and walk-ins had no visibility into wait times, leading to lost covers.

  2. What gets built

Codesetu built a site with a reservations-and-waitlist agent that manages table requests, offers real-time waitlist alternatives, and answers dietary questions without staff intervention.

  3. What changes

Weekend phone volume dropped sharply and the restaurant filled more of its waitlist slots instead of losing walk-ins to the wait.

Our host stand is not drowning in calls anymore. The site handles it, and people actually stay on the waitlist now because they can see it moving.
